About Stan White
WHITE was appointed to the NC Senate by Governor Bev Perdue on January 25, 2011 to fill the unexpired term of former Senator Basnight. He is a member of Senate Committees on Agriculture/Environment/Natural Resources; Commerce; Education/Higher Education; Finance; Insurance; Program Evaluation; State and Local Government; and Transportation.
Stan is a general contractor, owner/operator of Stan White Realty & Construction, Inc., for 36 years, former manager of Outer Banks, Ltd., Nags Head Office, and former teacher and assistant principal in the Dare County School System.
He is a graduate of Manteo High School and East Carolina University.
Stan is a native of Dare County and resides with wife, Susie, in Nags Head, North Carolina. They have a son, John, a daughter-in-law, Sarah, and grandson, Carter. He and Susie attend Saint Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church.
