ABOUT SENATOR GARRETT

I’m a born and bred North Carolinian and a small business owner representing Guilford County in the North Carolina Senate. I live in Greensboro with my wife, Allison, and my son, Jack, and brand new baby daughter, Charlotte. The people of Senate District 27 honored me with the duty of standing up for them in Raleigh back in 2018. In my first term I’ve introduced and supported legislation that invests in our children and schools, increases access to health coverage, bans gerrymandering, and supports an economy built for working families. Now, I’m asking my neighbors to send me back for another term so that we can elect a new majority that will put people over politics and get our state back on track.

As a product of Guilford County Schools and the University of North Carolina – Greensboro I’m a passionate advocate for the substantial investments in our public education system. I watched as budget after budget failed to do right by our schools, teachers, and students. North Carolina was a beacon of education in the region and I know that it can be again.

I stepped forward to serve for the sake of my family and those of my neighbors in Guilford County. For the last decade our state has seen economic growth, Republican legislative leaders have consistently failed to make critically needed investments into health care and education that match with that growth. I’m asking for your support so that I can join a new legislative majority that will no longer ignore our state’s needs.
